Helle where they em. from is a small population centre with Helle sawmill established on Strand in Sannidal 1580 and closed 1930.

They may have sailed under Captain T. Eilertsen from Kragerø Apr. 8 to Quebec May 25 aboard the Bark, Inga. http://www.norwayheritage.com/p_ship.asp?sh=ingaa Or under Captain C. Hassel from Kragerø to Quebec Aug. 13 aboard the ship, Augusta.

Name

After much research, I am fairly confident in this record. Gunvor Gunvaldsdatter did marry Sigvald Johan Olson and came to America. They printed Gunar b 1830 on her headstone. However she was born in 1829. Her age on the 1860 census is not correct but she can be found on 1860, 1870 and 1880.

Lastly, Ancestry.com has transcribed two records, one for Gunvor Gunvaldsdatter and another for Gunvor Gunvaldssen. The one for Gunvor Gunvaldssen is really her and mistranscribed, as I have seen the page from the original churchbook. inc. below.
